Cabernet Franc 2018 Rucksack
Tasting notes
The aromas have that dark brooding fruit focusing on candied cherries with pinches of sweet baking spices. The expectation is that the palate will be bold, and on that, this Cabernet Franc delivers. Rounded on the entry, the mid-palate builds with cherry extract and notes of plum brightness. The earthy aspects then develop with a hint of a peppery finish.

The Estate Rucksack Cellars Vineyards are perched high atop a 3,000 foot ridge in the El Dorado Appellation. With a south-facing slope, the combination of mountain-grown coolness and a warmer exposure makes this an ideal grape growing location. With a shallow Aiken Clay Loam soil depth, the vines in this vineyard work just a hint harder, however, the Cab Franc seems to thrive in this location
